Education is our main Goal
Every year, over 45,000 teenagers and young adults visit the Tel Saki site. Visitors experience an interactive educational program provided by the Harel Institute and supported by the members of the Friendship and Heritage Foundation. Our foundation, together with the Harel Institute instructors are devoting much of their time to educate the next generation about the important values of friendship, heritage and perseverance and its role in supporting the Jewish people and the Israeli society.
The Harel Institute and the Foundation invested in the development of educational programs, including production video documentaries and trained numerous instructors to effectively convey the values of to never give up, never abandon your friends and never abandon your people and your country.
The Harel Institute was established in Memory of Lieutenant Sham Harel. Harel was a Yeshiva student and an outstanding soldier who died in combat in Lebanon. Training, Scholarship and research to develop educational programs focusing on establishing collaborative relationships with schools in Israel and around the world in order to advance specific research and education objectives to convey the friendship and heritage fundamentals. The program is intended to catalyze a cultural change in focusing on the development of young adults. It is also intended to facilitate greater student participation and to contribute to the development of a diverse, globally-engaged, Jewish people.
